Alkhemy’s Student Voice Capacity service offers you the opportunity to embed a virtual student voice practitioner into your SU team. You can have an experienced member of our team delivering student voice services and projects for less than it would usually cost to employ an entry-level coordinator.

Recruitment and retention of student voice staff is a prevalent challenge for organisations representing students across our movement, this service provides an elegant solution that saves time, effort and money.

Our Student Voice Practitioners are equipped with years of expertise and experience working within student voice.

What type of work does this service cover?

Our offer covers up to 4 of the following work areas:

  • Representation Management– Volunteer management, training, feedback analysis, teaching awards, related campaigns, society and student groups audit.
  • Democratic Engagement– Run and project manage democratic events, training democracy committee/panel members, engage students in the democratic processes, elections project management and working on engaging candidates/voters.
  • Campaigns Coordination– Supporting officers, reps and student groups with their campaigning with project management, training, recruitment and working with comms/marketing teams on campaigning communications.
  • Listening and Engaging Students– Supporting officers, reps, and staff to engage with students: movement building and community organising. Carrying out of research, supporting officers to be more representative. Includes NSS Review and action plans.
  • Sabbatical Officer Support– Executive and project support for full time officer team, taking operational duties off the officers and ensuring they can be representative. Includes meeting support.
  • Part-time Officer Support– Coordinating activities and de-operationalising the PTOs within an SU.
  • Campus focussed engagement and outreach– Work to build SU movements on campuses that are far away or less engaged in the SU.
  • Project-based support– Ongoing project management and support for the SU.
How does it work?
  • Will we embed an Alkhemy staff member within your SU staff team
  • They will work to a hybrid model, working from home but also travelling to your SU when needed
  • Alkhemy will provide all equipment as well as coaching and support

How much does the service cost?

Our total cost for this service is just £15,995 + VAT per academic year.

Bespoke agreements can also be discussed – with costs ranging from £4995 upwards
