What this service is

This programme is designed to help organisations representing students to either prevent or resolve toxic conflict. We embed ourselves into your context and work as an honest intermediary, offering a bespoke solution shaped entirely around the situation you are facing.

No two conflicts are the same. We do not arrive with a fixed script. We listen, assess, and work with the people involved to find a way through that is fair, sustainable, and grounded in the realities of your organisation.

We do not take sides. We do not arrive with conclusions already drawn. We embed ourselves into your organisation, listen carefully to everyone involved, and work as a neutral presence to help find a resolution that is fair and lasting. The programme is shaped entirely around what the situation requires.

With the ever-increasing world of concerns and complaints in higher education, we needed to upskill our student-facing staff to ensure they could confidently address issues as they arise with our members. Alkhemy were fantastic at looking at our scope of needs and creating an interactive two-day highly informative training session on site. The session allowed our staff to explore theory and practical exercises for mediation scenarios, and Alkhemy understood how niche those scenarios can be in a students’ union context. The pace was adapted in situ to ensure all attendees felt confident in the approaches and techniques being shared, and the facilitators happily altered the day to allow for open discussion and new activities.
